Our Client

Is a highly regarded national law firm with one of Australia’s largest and strong administrative/government practice. Due to recent growth, they are now looking for another lawyer to join their team. 

Work with a down-to-earth team in a flexible, social and dynamic environment.

You’ll have responsibility for:

  • a caseload of merits and judicial review matters, representing various Commonwealth Government agencies – including, in particular, the Department of Home Affairs – before the Federal Circuit, Federal and High Courts, and the Administrative Review Tribunal;
  • day-to-day carriage of matters;
  • drafting propsects advice and litigation strategies;
  • preparing evidence;
  • drafting submissions;
  • Preparing other Court and Tribunal documents ;
  • undertaking solicitor advocacy in the Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Circuit Court; and
  • instructing Counsel

You

Are an administrative/gov’t lawyer with 3+ years of PQE gained at a respected law firm and gov’t department. You will ideally be at special counsel level and have interest in progressing to partner.
