A boutique firm in Brisbane’s CBD is looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its established Wills & Estates practice.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior practitioner to step into a leadership role with real influence, working alongside a respectful team and a strong support network. The position offers a blend of autonomy, high-quality work, and the chance to mentor junior staff as the team continues to grow.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of estate planning and estate administration matters with minimal supervision
  • Advising clients on complex matters, maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers, with 1–2 expected to report directly within the next year or so
  • Contributing to ongoing business development and maintaining strong referral connections
  • Achieving a realistic daily billable target (approx. 5.5 hours)

What are we looking for?

  • A Senior Associate or Special Counsel-level lawyer with extensive experience in Wills & Estates
  • The ability to run files independently and take ownership of matters from start to finish
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in mentoring junior staff
  • An Accredited Specialist in Wills & Estates is highly regarded but not essential
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to the continued growth of the team
