Senior Family Lawyer | Complex Matters | Leadership Role

For an experienced family lawyer, this role offers the mix that actually matters: complex work, strong support, good systems and the chance to play a visible role in the development of a growing team.

You will be joining a specialist family law team that acts across the full spectrum of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, child support, spousal maintenance, financial agreements, international parenting matters and domestic violence proceedings.

This is a senior role, ideally suited to a Family Lawyer who can confidently manage their own files, deal directly with clients, progress matters efficiently and provide guidance to junior lawyers and support staff. You will not be expected to work in isolation, but you will need to bring the judgement, maturity and technical ability required to run complex matters properly.

The team

This team includes accredited family law specialists, so this would suit someone who wants to keep sharpening their technical skills while also stepping into more leadership, mentoring and client-facing responsibility. The role

In this position, you will be involved in:

• Managing a broad range of family law matters
• Managing client relationships and matter strategy
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
• Working closely with senior practitioners across the team
• Meeting file, billing and client service expectations

About you

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Strong experience in family law – at least 5 years PAE
• The confidence to manage files with a high level of autonomy
• Clear and confident client communication skills
• Developed leadership skills

This role would suit a family lawyer who is ready for more influence within a team, while still having the support of experienced practitioners and strong internal systems around them.
