Dust Diseases and Complex Injury Litigation | National Firm | Genuine Growth Opportunities

This is an exciting opportunity for a PI Lawyer with 2+ years PAE to join a highly regarded national practice with a strong reputation for advocacy and results in dust disease and complex injury claims.

Working within a close-knit team led by an experienced Partner, you will handle a growing file base of matters involving asbestos and toxic dust exposure, supporting clients whose lives have been impacted by serious illness.

You will draw on your existing personal injury experience while expanding your technical skill set in a specialised and rewarding area of litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage claims involving asbestos and toxic dust exposure
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences and contribute to trial preparation
• Liaise with clients, experts and Counsel with empathy and professionalism
• Conduct legal research and draft documentation to a high standard
• Manage files from instruction through to resolution under supervision

About you

• Minimum 2 years post admission experience in personal injury litigation
• Sound understanding of relevant state and Commonwealth legislation
• Strong drafting, research and file management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders
• Motivated, organised and capable of managing competing priorities
• Previous dust diseases experience is desirable but not essential

You will be mentored by senior practitioners with deep expertise in this area, with structured supervision, clear feedback and access to proven systems and precedents.
