About the firm
Our client is an established and highly respected Gold Coast full-service firm with a long-standing reputation for quality work, strong client relationships, and a team culture that genuinely supports career progression. Their Commercial Property practice is busy, sophisticated, and growing and they are looking for an experienced paralegal to work alongside a senior practitioner on some of Queensland’s most interesting transactions.
What you’ll actually be doing
You’ll be a trusted right hand on a varied commercial property caseload, including:
- Commercial and retail leasing, drafting, review, registration, and variations
- Commercial sales and acquisitions, from investment assets through to significant developments
- Contract preparation, special conditions, and amendments
- Due diligence, title searches, and dealing investigations
- End-to-end PEXA settlements
- Liaising with clients, agents, financiers, councils, and the Titles Office
- Matter management, trust instructions, and reporting
What you’ll bring:-
- 2 + years’ experience as a paralegal or conveyancer in commercial property (Queensland essential)
- Confident PEXA user with sound settlement experience
- Strong working knowledge of REIQ contracts and commercial leasing frameworks
- Experience with LEAP or a comparable practice management system
- Polished written communication and a professional client-facing manner
- The judgement to run matters with minimal supervision, and the awareness to ask the right questions at the right time
