Wills & Estates Lawyer – Estate Planning focus

An established Gold Coast law practice is seeking an experienced Wills and Estates Lawyer to join its Estates Team.

This role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys advisory work, values autonomy, and is looking to focus exclusively on estate planning and administration in a stable, reputable team.

The role sits within a dedicated wills and estates practice and offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of matters, work closely with experienced support staff, and build trusted, long-term client relationships.

The Role

You will advise clients across all aspects of wills and estates work, including:

• Drafting simple and complex wills, including testamentary trusts
• Preparing enduring powers of attorney and advance health directives
• Advising on estate planning strategies, succession, and asset protection
• Assisting with probate applications and estate administration
• Working collaboratively with experienced estates support staff
• Managing matters from initial instruction through to completion
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Participating in client engagement and practice growth initiatives

This is a client-facing role with a strong advisory focus and no litigation component.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• 4+ years post-admission experience in wills and estates
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
• Experience preparing testamentary trusts and complex estate plans
• Sound knowledge of probate and estate administration
• A clear, confident, and empathetic communication style
• The ability to work autonomously within a supportive firm environment
• An interest in building a long-term practice within wills and estates
