ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT | CENTRAL GOLD COAST
Reporting to: CFO

In this exciting position, you’ll manage essential accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial data. You’ll dive into payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed asset management, and monthly closing procedures while gaining invaluable experience with external audits, financial governance, and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage accounting functions – payroll (using Xero), accounts payable and receivable, bank and cash reconciliations and more
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist with end of month accounting processes as well as preparing audit schedules and year-end financial statements
  • Serve as a key contact for external audits and ensure compliance with all financial policies
  • Collaborate with the CEO on daily financial operations of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Progress towards CA/CPA qualification is not essential but highly desirable.
  • Experience utilising Excel and Xero or similar systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be located in or willing to work on the Gold Coast.
