Skills & experience
You will be a junior Finance Lawyer who would like to move in-house and undertake a quantitative focus to your work (bringing your data scientist/applied finance/actuary/computer science skillset). If you are yet to undertake your College of Law, it will be paid for you.
Your new role
Will see you support the Head of Risk & Compliance and Legal Counsel (Risk & Compliance) of this multi-line insurance brokerage. The Head of Risk reports directly to the CEO, Board of Directors and is on the Executive. As part of a small team of four (4) lawyers, including yourself, you will identify financial and regulatory risk through your data in order to challenge the business and its emerging risk management. Your ongoing analysis and reporting on risk (financial and operational) will also see you update risk assessments.
