The Opportunity

This highly recognised large brand with a positive culture now seeks a Property/Corporate/Commercial Legal Counsel with about 2-5 years PQE.

New and exciting opportunity to join a friendly ex-top tier firm General Counsel and small and collegiate in-house team of 4; work across a broad range of property, commercial, IP, employment, and franchising matters and support the strategic vision for the business. Working at mid-level in a fast-paced and agile environment, you will be a proactive member of the company.

Given the nature of this team and work, this role will allow flexibility to focus on areas of interest including the drafting and negotiating of a wide range of contracts, as well as the provision of advice on legal issues to senior stakeholders in the business. You will be giving legal advice on a broad range of matters including:

– Property / Leasing
– Franchising
– Hotels
– General commercial contracts
– Competition and consumer law
– Intellectual property/IT

Work broadly as you support marketing, sales, procurement, IT, and supply chain. You will liaise with people at all levels of the business.

Skills and Experience

A lawyer for this role will be career driven, have about 2-5 years post-qualification experience and strong commercial acumen. Strong drafting and communication skills are essential.

Must be a team player with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining work relationships.
