Senior Family Lawyer
Job Description
Our multi-award-winning firm is looking for a Senior Family Lawyer.
Skills and experience:
* Five years post-admission experience in family law
* Strong knowledge of Federal Circuit and Family Court practice, procedures, and rules
* Strong affidavit drafting skills
* Able to communicate with high-level client management, demonstrating a strong understanding of the client’s matters and managing/meeting client’s expectations
* Exceptional organisational and negotiation skills
* The ability to work independently and autonomously with a strong work ethic
* High level of emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy, clarity and perspective-taking when liaising with clients
* High level of attention to detail and focus on client outcomes
* Desire to deliver results
* Precision and accuracy in the management of deadlines

Key responsibilities
Under the guidance of New South Lawyers’ Directors you will be given the opportunity to assist in family law matters, as well as play a team role in large complex matters. These may include:
* Complex property settlements
* Children’s issues including parenting and child support assessments
* Multi-party disputes
* Divorce applications and Hearings
* Domestic violence
* Financial agreement
