Job Description

Join our growing team of family law experts at New South Lawyers as a Senior Family Lawyer. In this full-time role based in Parramatta, NSW, you will be responsible for providing exceptional legal services to our valued clients, advising on all aspects of family law.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property settlements and more.
• Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients, guiding them through complex legal processes.
• Prepare and file court documents, negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings
• Conduct legal research, draft agreements and correspondence, and stay up-to-date with changes in family law.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, sharing your expertise to develop the team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and relevant stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in family law.
• Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of family law, including divorce, asset division, child custody and more.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven track record of successfully representing clients in court proceedings.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and mentor junior lawyers.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and achieving the best possible outcomes
