Commercial & Property Lawyer | 1–2 Years PAE | Brisbane CBD | Quality Mentoring

If you are 1 to 2 years into your legal career and starting to think carefully about where you will actually build your foundations, this role is worth looking at.

The work is broad, practical and genuinely useful for a junior lawyer wanting to develop across both commercial and property law. You will not be sitting in a narrow lane or only handling fragments of files. You will be involved in real matters, working through transactions, leasing, property work and project-related matters with experienced lawyers around you.

The team is well structured, with a Partner, Senior Associate, Associate, lawyer and paralegal. That means you will have people to learn from, but also enough room to take ownership, build confidence and become more useful across files.

The work

You will gain exposure to matters including:

• Business transactions
• Residential and commercial property transactions
• Commercial and retail leasing
• Off-the-plan project transactions
• General commercial and property advisory work
• Drafting and reviewing transaction documents
• Client contact and matter management

This is the kind of role that would suit a junior lawyer who wants to become technically strong, commercially aware and confident dealing with clients early in their career.

About you

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Around 1 to 2 years’ PAE
• Experience across commercial and/or property matters
• A clear and confident communication style
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to manage competing priorities
• A team-focused approach
• Good client service instincts
• Motivation to learn and take ownership of your work

You do not need to have seen every type of transaction before. What matters is that you have good foundations, a genuine interest in this space and the maturity to keep building your skills in a busy team.
