Appointment of Deputy Presidents and Senior Members

The Australian Government is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated candidates to fill a professionally rewarding role as a Deputy President or Senior Member of the new Administrative Review Tribunal (ART). This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the new system of administrative review in Australia. Deputy Presidents will be among the foremost legal experts and leaders in the ART. Senior Members will hear complex matters and also fulfil a range of leadership functions in the ART.

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified persons who wish to be considered for appointment for up to five years.

Applicant information

The new body will commence with the same caseload as the current Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT). The AAT reviews government decisions in a wide range of areas, including migration, refugee, NDIS, social services, child support, taxation, commercial, Freedom of Information, veteran’s, security and other matters.
