Established in 2002, Thompson Cooper Lawyers is a highly regarded boutique law firm based in a prime Sydney CBD location. We are a specialised law practice dedicated to serving the general insurance industry and defendants in civil litigation claims.

About the role:

We are seeking a full time or part time motivated and enthusiastic Solicitor with a minimum of 2 – 5 years PAE experience in a defendant insurance law firm to join our team. You will be involved in a range of matters including complex and sensitive litigation matters.

To be considered for this role the Applicant will have:-

Experience as an Associate or Senior Associate in a defendant insurance law firm
Effective communication and organisational skills
Strong legal research and drafting skills
·        Ability to prioritise and work within urgent time frames

Ability to multitask
·        Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Have an eye for detail and strategic thinking
You will be involved in a range of matters including complex and sensitive litigation matters for some of the largest insurers and ASX-listed companies in Australia.

Your key responsibilities will involve, assisting Principals and senior lawyers with the defence of claims, particularly, but not limited to Public Liability, Dust Diseases and civil litigation claims.  The role will include drafting pleadings, research, written advice to clients, liaising with clients and solicitors and attending Court.
