Job Description

Ivy Law Group is a dynamic and vibrant boutique law firm, conveniently located in the Sydney CBD.

Our team of highly experienced and skilled lawyers offer a comprehensive range of legal services across family law, wills and estates, commercial law, and property law/conveyancing.

We are seeking a Family Lawyer with one (1) – two (2) years PAE for full-time employment.

Tasks and responsibilities

You will be involved in all areas of family law.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing new family law client enquiries;
  • Conducting client interviews and providing initial advice;
  • Providing quality written and verbal advice to clients;
  • Assisting our family law team of solicitors with case management;
  • Liaising with clients, other law firms, court officials and relevant authorities;
  • Preparing various correspondences, draft legal documents and other documentation as required;
  • Completing legal research tasks;
  • Attending mediation, and arbitration hearings; and
  • Attending the Federal Circuit and Family Court.

Skills and experience 

You will:

  • Be passionate about a family law career & show compassion and empathy towards your clients;
  • Have excellent verbal skills with a personable and collaborative approach;
  • Have excellent written skills so as to draft quality family law documents and letters of advice;
  • Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and client expectations;
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively; and
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Work, Outlook and Excel applications.
