Pioneering and solutions-focused, Junction has led South Australia in providing a wide range of services and quality housing for nearly 40 years, by ambitiously strengthening lives and communities. Junction provides unrivalled service in delivering high quality housing outcomes through facilitating sustainable access to more appropriate homes for those on low to moderate incomes. Junction also serves the community by creating great places where all people feel safe and connected and have access to opportunities, ultimately breaking destructive cycles and assisting people to not just survive, but thrive.
Junction is starting the next stage of its development which will see it become a developer and manager of Affordable Build to Rent (ABTR) assets. As a result, an exciting new opportunity has emerged for a Senior Lawyer, Real Estate Deals, reporting to the Head of Investment. This role will be a transaction focused role. The role will be built around involvement in the development and implementation of the ABTR Strategy, including the sourcing of assets on and off market transactions; the development of holding and finance structures for these assets; and the negotiation and documentation of acquisition, development, management, and finance outcomes. In addition, this role will be involved in the significant development opportunities relating to the existing property portfolio and the negotiation of significant property related deals with the government sector.
The successful candidate will ideally have five to seven years of hands-on experience in the legal profession working on complex real estate transactions. You must have proven experience in negotiating and executing complex commercial real estate transactions and the confidence and capability to work autonomously and proactively. You will be comfortable with change and have an ability to operate across multiple environments and liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders.
