An exciting opportunity has developed for a Senior Practitioner to manager our Real Estate & Development Team and continue to join the success and growing our team.

The position is based in our new Sydney CBD office and offers enormous potential for personal growth and career development. There is an abundance of support and expertise available within our organisation. Working alongside other co-partners and senior lawyers of considerable skill, you will undertake a vast range of property work. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced senior lawyer with strong property law experience and a passion for this area of law, to continue their skills, expertise and specialising in the property law arena.

To be considered for this position you will:

  • Have 10+ years PQE;
  • Hold a current practicing certificate;
  • Have solid property and property development law experience;
  • Transactional & Property Development – Have exposure to transactional work and property development including:
    • Off the plan sales (acting for the vendor);
    • Drafting master agreements (master off-the-plan contracts and sales);
    • Acquisitions and disposals; and
    • all stages of the development process: acquisition, financing, construction, subdivision and sale.
  • Ability to provide expert legal advice to property developers, investors, owners and purchasers in a wide range of property law matters;
  • Leases – all types of leases acting for landlords and tenants for commercial, office and industrial premises including drafting, reviewing, negotiating lease documentation, mediations and disputes resolution;
  • Commercial and Corporate – business and commercial agreements, buy-sell agreements, shareholders’ agreements, franchise agreements, supply agreements, risk management advice and corporate governance (desirable)
  • Interstate experience – exposure to interstate property work e.g. Queensland, Victoria and NSW leasing and conveyancing;
  • Exhibit strong problem solving and time management skills;
  • Be motivated, dynamic, career-orientated and a team player; and
  • Be professionally presented with initiative and superior communication skills.
