Your opportunity

 

As our Law Clerk, you will provide legal research, support and services to internal clients across the broad range of local government activities and responsibilities.

 

Guided by our Values, you will:

 

Prepare legal documents, legal briefs and legal and court case updates
Undertake research, collate and analyse data, and assemble information and background material
Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders
Work with a small team of in house lawyers who will provide you with opportunities to assist in real world legal work that will equip you to progress your career to become an admitted solicitor

What you’ll bring

 

We are seeking applicants who enjoy providing legal research and business support, particularly in relation to government, environment, contracts, land use and town planning. Excellent verbal and written communication are both important, along with being able to confidently provide legal advice and information.

Eligibility

 

You must be studying or successfully completed studies in law
You’ll have a C Class Driver’s Licence
