Associate/Senior Associate – Employment Law

Job Description

An excellent opportunity for an experienced employment law Associate / Senior Associate (2-5 years PAE) to join our Workplace Relations & Safety team.

This role will allow you to work on a range of interesting and challenging matters to develop your skills and broaden your experience in a supportive and collaborative team.

What can you expect in the role?

  • Providing strategic advice in relation to a variety of matters including workplace investigations, workplace bullying and sexual harassment claims, work health and safety, and enterprise bargaining
  • Defending unfair dismissal, general protections and anti-discrimination claims
  • Working with businesses of varying sizes, including large private corporations and ASX listed entities, across industries such as construction, mining and resources, technology, manufacturing, transport, education and training, medical and health services, and professional services
  • Mentoring from market-leading partners whilst also managing your own case load and working directly with clients to build strong relationships and achieve outstanding results
  • Involvement in business development opportunities, including presentations to internal and external stakeholders to develop a strong brand within the industry

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion and interest in employment law
  • An eagerness to learn, a strong work ethic and excellent organisational skills
  • A proactive approach to delivering timely and practical solutions to solve complex legal issues
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the enthusiasm to provide mentoring to other team members
