Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Dispute Resolution

Job Description

A terrific opportunity for a experienced and technically excellent commercial litigation lawyer to join our litigation and dispute resolution team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role and is ideal for a commercial litigator with considerable experience.

The opportunity will allow the successful applicant to focus on their love of commercial litigation by working on and running varied commercial cases at one of Brisbane’s premier commercial litigation practices without the ongoing distraction of building a practice.

The role will provide:

About you:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• 10 plus years PAE in a high-quality firm,
• Very strong technical credentials and ability,
• Excellent written communication skills including the ability to write complex and technical advices,
• Outstanding litigation and dispute resolution experience in areas relevant to our team’s broad practice including: commercial and Corporate disputes, insolvency, property disputes, intellectual property disputes, building and construction disputes, commercial Insurance/professional liability and regulatory matters,
• Ability to manage a varied case load involving many areas of law,
• Ability to quickly assimilate new information and problem-solve complex legal issues,
• Sound judgment and commercial acumen,
• A proactive, innovative and energetic approach,
• The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team.
