Job Description: We are currently seeking senior legal team members to join our busy Family Law Team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base across Ipswich, Springfield, and Gatton. The team focuses on various areas of family law, including children’s matters, divorce applications, family law general advice, property settlements, and family law litigation. You will be joining a vibrant and supportive team with solicitors based in Springfield and Ipswich. Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of family law matters, including children’s matters, divorce applications, family law general advice, property settlements, and family law litigation.
  • Provide exceptional legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with clients about the cost and time involved in their matters throughout the process.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to family/work life balance, with opportunities for remote work when needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Meet achievable billable hour targets in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Utilise new family law dedicated software and business processes which have enhanced efficiency and effectiveness within the Family Law Team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Uphold high levels of empathy and sensitivity in handling family law cases.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current Queensland Law Society Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum of 3+ years post-admission experience (PAE) in Family Law.
  • Excellent current knowledge and understanding of Family Law principles and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • High levels of empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients in challenging situations.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience and package includes QLS Membership, Practicing Certificate, Professional Indemnity Insurance, ongoing CPD support and car parking.
  • FLPA Membership and Annual Conference attendance is also included in the salary package.
