Create impact as a Lawyer, Insurance, Operational & Claims Strategy

YOUR ROLE  

As a Lawyer, you’ll join IAG’s high performing legal team (awarded the 2022 Large Legal Team of the Year). This permanent position will see you provide legal support for legal matters which impact the business of IAG and for legal issues arising from insurance operations including product, underwriting, claims (including complex and material claims), complaints and regulatory requirements.

You will deliver high quality legal services in a timely manner, including initiating and providing strategic counsel, legal risk management and contributing to legal project management.

The ideal candidate will be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

ABOUT YOU 

  • Qualified legal practitioner with 3 + PQE ideally gained at a major Australian or international law firm and/or large corporate.
  • Bachelor of Laws or equivalent
  • Ability to triage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, decision making and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work in a fast-paced environment.
