The business

Our client is a growing and dynamic Adelaide based business with significant assets and a multi-billion dollar turnover, operating a number of successful and well known brands. A South Australian success story, it is uniquely poised for future growth and interstate expansion.

The role

This role represents a rare opportunity for an astute mid level lawyer with strong legal, commercial and interpersonal skills to work closely with senior executives in the business to produce nimble and commercially savvy legal advice. Suited to a front-end lawyer, with demonstrated property and commercial experience, you will advise on acquisitions, contractual arrangements and leasing, and negotiate contracts. Reporting to an astute General Counsel, your key relationships will be with executives and leaders in the business.

The benefits

This is a chance for a pragmatic and focused lawyer to take on responsibility for a collection of matters including a significant property portfolio, and to help shape the legal affairs of the business. You will jump at the chance to have a rare level of autonomy and to contribute to decision making as you get to know the core business objectives and the issues the business faces. A hands-on role, you will provide pragmatic advice and help set the business up for continued success.

What you will need

In addition to sound legal skills and quality front end property and commercial experience, you will bring enthusiasm and interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in achieving commercial objectives. Suited to lawyers who back themselves and have roughly 2-5 years of experience gained in a quality commercial firm or team.
