What a fabulous career move this firm will make! If you’re a talented Employment Lawyer, with the expertise to work directly private companies, public sector, listed companies and employer groups on a wide range of workplace relations issues, this role will tick all your boxes!
  
As a significant player in this highly regarded practice, you will work autonomously across a broad range of matters while being supported by an experienced team to assist clients manage the full gamut of employment, OH&S, discrimination and industrial issues which can arise in the context of any workplace. eg:-

  • Discrimination and equal opportunity  
  • Dispute resolution/litigation arising from unfair dismissals, bullying, contract breach etc.   
  • Employment contracts/advice   
  • OH&S Advice 
  • Enterprise bargaining/agreements   
  • Restructuring, downsizing and outsourcing  
  • Termination and dismissals  
  • Workplace policies, procedures and training  

Your drafting and advice experience will be commensurate with that of a lawyer who has spent at least 6 years working in private practice.
  
Ideally you will have:-

  • proven expertise working on broad range of employment and workplace relations matters including litigation and strong working knowledge of FairWork Act
  • experience delegating to/mentoring of less experienced lawyers;  
  • highly developed communication & negotiation skills;  
  • ability to effectively manage competing priorities
